Ava Francisco is a Canadian-born theatre artist. She is an MFA candidate in Theatrical Costume Design at Indiana University Bloomington, where Pride and Prejudice serves as her thesis production. Ava has long been drawn to the arts and the strong sense of community they create. After many years immersed in the music world—performing on saxophone and teaching students, she is excited to be deeply engaged in the theatre community. Her professional experience includes internships with Alley Theatre and Santa Fe Opera. Ava’s design credits include Fish’s Belly and The Wolves at the University of Houston, as well as Reefer Madness, Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind, and Our Dear Dead Drug Lord at Indiana University. Outside of theatre, Ava is an avid swing dancer. She helps run the Indiana University Swing Dance Club a student-run organization on campus, , where she helps organize events, classes, and community programming.
