Meaghan Deiter is a second-year M.F.A. acting student at IU.
For IU Theatre: Noises Off (Dotty/Mrs. Clackett) and Hedda Gabler (Miss Tesman). She can be seen in the upcoming IU Theatre production of The Exonerated. Other recent engagements include Gypsy (Mama Rose), Julius Caesar (Marullus/Titinius), and Fox on the Fairway (Muriel) with Festival 56.
Equally versed in opera, Meaghan co-directed and performed in a double bill of new opera works with New Voices Opera last spring and is looking forward to directing their 2017 double bill. Meaghan was a 2014-2015 Emerging Artist with Virginia Opera where she sang Buttercup in HMS Pinafore and traveled the state performing concerts. Other recent engagements include a world premiere and original recording of With Blood, With Ink (Sor Andrea) with Fort Worth Opera.

Meaghan is originally from Sabetha, Kansas, a rural farming community, and received her B.F.A. in theatre/voice and her MM in voice from the University of Kansas.
