 Alyssia Wright is a senior from Columbus, Ohio. She has been dancing for 18 years and has trained in a variety of styles such as African Diasporic, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, house, jazz, modern, musical theater, and tap. At IU, she has performed in a number of productions: The AADC Spring Concert (2023), Journeys of Joy (2022), New Moves/New Directions (2022), Earthward (2021), New Moves (2021), Sounding Bodies (2020), and SLIP (2020). As well as attending the FeTNA Convention in NYC with Dr. Prathiba Natesan Batley’s Kavin Kaattil – In the Beautiful Forest. Additionally, she debuted her first undergraduate choreographic work in the junior choreographic show From The Ground Up (2021). Post-graduation, she hopes to move to a city and continue her passion for performing and choreographic endeavors.
