About Olyvea Yambrovich

Olyvea Yambrovich is originally from Chicago, Illinois. She began her training in her adolescence at the Academy of Movement & Music where she worked with Stephanie
Clemens, Mei-Kuang Chen, JP Tenuta, and Sandra Kaufmann until she graduated from high school in 2021. She has trained in many techniques such as Martha Graham, Ballet, Doris Humphrey, JoJo Smith Jazz, and Contact Improvisation. She is a 2025 graduate from Indiana University, where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance and a minor in Psychology with a focus in Developmental Psychology. While at IU, she had the pleasure of working with esteemed choreographers like Liz Shea, Beatrice Capote, Selene Carter, Robert Burden, and many others. She has also been a dancer and collaborator for various student choreographic projects.
From the beginning of her training, she took a special interest in choreography and a fascination with human connection through movement and its ability to heal. She considers herself a multidisciplinary artist because she works in a variety of mediums such as acting, singing, and of course dancing, and immerses herself in any art form she possibly can. Her works/choreography are deeply inspired by re-evaluating the social construct of beauty within dance. She has showcased her works in numerous productions throughout her time with Indiana University Contemporary Dance. Olyvea has her fiance, Jackson, and her family to thank for their continuous love and support.
