Gretchen spent the last two decades in New York City and New Jersey where she performed on and off Broadway. Regionally, she performed at A.C.T, The Old Globe, Shakespeare Theatre Company, Arena Stage, Theater Calgary, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, New Jersey Shakespeare Theater, Westport Country Playhouse, Dorset Theater Festival, Shakespeare on the Sound, Center Stage and, internationally, with NYU’s The Continuum Company in Italy. A few of her favorite roles include Nora in A Doll's House, Imogen in Cymbeline, Kate in Taming of the Shrew, and Barbara in Major Barbara for which she was the Betty Mitchell Best Actress nominee in Calgary, Canada.
Her television credits include FBI, The Blacklist, The Path, Elementary, Person of Interest, Gossip Girl, Law & Order and Lipstick Jungle. Her film credits include the title role in Cammy for which she garnered “Best Actress in a Short Film” in the Studio City International Film Festival, as well as roles in The Weekend and Almost in Love.
For the last five years, Gretchen served as the performance and theatre instructor at Seton Hall University. Gretchen earned her B.A. from Fordham University and her M.F.A. from NYU Graduate Acting. She is a certified Miller Voice Method Instructor (https://www.millervoicemethod.com/). Currently, Gretchen is working on a children's book. She lives in Bloomington with her husband, Freddy Arsenault, and their three amazing daughters.
