Before the opening night performance of Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen expert Dr. Juliette Wells will deliver a keynote lecture on the enduring appeal and contemporary relevance of Austen’s characters, as well as the many adaptations that Austen’s novels have inspired.
Juliette Wells, Professor of Literary Studies, is a scholar, teacher, and writer who is passionately committed to helping readers of all backgrounds connect with literature, and who brings her groundbreaking research on Jane Austen to audiences around the world.
