About Olivia Johnson

(she/her)Olivia is a second-year M.F.A. Acting candidate and playwright from Pensacola, Florida. She earned her B.A. in Theatre at Dillard University, home to the oldest HBCU theatre program in the country, where she wrote and directed her original play, ROUGAROU. As an actor, she has performed in Twelfth Night (Maria), Romeo and Juliet (Nurse), F**king A (First Lady), Pipeline (Nya), Yellowman (Alma), The Skin of Our Teeth (Mrs. Antrobus), and Joe Turner’s Come and Gone (Martha Pentecost). Olivia is passionate about storytelling that amplifies underrepresented voices and explores the depth of human experience. Upon earning her M.F.A., she plans to work with theatre companies across the country, bringing powerful narratives to the stage. Her aspirations include touring a Broadway production, performing in New York, and mentoring actors of color who wish to pursue theatre professionally. She is deeply committed to using her artistry to inspire, engage, and uplift audiences.
