Upon recommendation of the department and with the approval of the dean of the Graduate School, work taken for graduate credit at other institutions may be transferred in partial fulfillment of degree requirements.
No course may be transferred from another institution unless the grade is B or better and unless the course was completed within the time limit prescribed.
The following restrictions apply:
- Candidates for the M.A. degree may offer up to 8 hours of credit from other institutions.
- Candidates for the M.F.A. degree may offer up to 20 hours of graduate credit from other institutions.
- Candidates for the Ph.D. degree may offer up to 30 hours of graduate credit from other institutions.
