About Miriam Poole

Miriam Poole is serving as the Department Dramaturg for IU Theatre for the 2017-18 Season. She graduated with her PhD in Theatre History, Theory, and Literature from IU in September of 2017.

Her dissertation "Aesthetics and the York Cycle" focused on the theology of beauty in the medieval York cycle plays. Other research interests include Romanticism and the Irish Literary Revival.

Previously for IU Independent Projects: Eat My Dust (Dramaturgy). Other theatrical credits include Fuente Ovejuna (Set Designer), Playboy of the Western World (Dramaturg), and Red Herring (Stage Manager) for Hillsdale College where she graduated in 2011 with a BA in Theatre and German.
