Creative activity abounds in our department: it is in our everyday DNA. Research is embedded into our craft and practice, a requirement for bringing drama and dance to life. We consider the history of our craft, the critical significance of particular works, and the logistics and technologies of production.

There are many components to the research we do, and to our many creative activities. They involve managing productions, acting on stage and in film, writing screenplays and dramas, and staging choreography. Our faculty and students write about their work both on stage and behind the scenes, contributing to the literature about the technical and social dimensions of theatre, drama, and dance.
