Kenny Hertling is happy to be working as the Assistant Intimacy Director for The Threepenny Opera! It has been exciting to work along side this cast and watch them build the language of consent into the piece and support each other. Kenny is grateful for the opportunity to create a brave space with such a talented cast after beginning his work with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators in 2019 just before moving to Bloomington from Raleigh, NC. Being able to share consent practices and work with artists to build a language and a network of support for the growth of those practices is thrilling. Kenny’s previous work includes Logan in Orion and the Goatman with Relative Theatricals, Bertram in All’s Well that Ends Well with Monroe County Civic Theater, C. P. Ellis in Best of Enemies with Campbell University, and an ensemble member in the world premier of Gay Card: The Musical with North Raleigh Arts and Creative Theatre.
