Val Jeanty is a Haitian drummer, turntablist and composer, pioneering Afro-Electronica, a genre where ancestral frequencies meet experimental sound design. Her work explores the alchemical potential of sound, using sound chemistry and the art of intuitive improvisation to transmute, transform, and enrich through deep resonances, ethereal textures, and evolving sonic forms. A 2024 United States Artists Fellow, Jeanty is also a professor at Berklee College of Music, where she continues to push sonic boundaries at the intersection of music, technology, and creative transformation.
