About Shunté Lofton

Shunté is thrilled to be working with Indiana University for the first time! A lover of classic works she spent five seasons with the American Shakespeare Center in Staunton, VA performing in 22 productions during her residency- some of her favorite credits include: Ophelia in Hamlet, Princess of France in Love’s Labour’s Lost, and Celia in As You Like It. Other selected regional credits include: Nora Travers (The New Galileos) with Landing Theatre; Hermia (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) and Portia (Julius Caesar) with the Texas Shakespeare Festival Road Show; Celia (As You Like It), Jess (King Charles III) and Constance (King John) with the Colorado Shakespeare Festival; Perdita (The Winter’s Tale) with 4th Wall Theatre Company; Peer Gynt (Peer Gynt), Young Woman (Ghost’s Sonata), Katherine/ Montjoy/ Boy (Henry V) and Anya (The Cherry Orchard) with Classical Theatre Company; Jessie (Cry It Out) with Main Street Theatre.
