About Kris Nickeson

Kris Nickeson holds a B.A. in Guitar Performance with an emphasis in
Audio Engineering from Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA.

He is the former Production Manager / Auditorium Coordinator and Lead
Technician for Sound, Lighting and Video at the Broomfield Auditorium in
Broomfield, Colorado where he worked with hundreds of groups - including
sound design and design assist roles.  He also supervised use of the
City's mobile stage, ran FOH + Monitor Mixes, and co-booked the Summer
Concert Series each year.

Kris taught Live Sound Engineering, Recording Arts I and II and
Recording Arts Capstone at Front Range Community College for 5 years,
while helping develop the program and FRCC recording spaces, helping
numerous graduates move into careers in the music industry.

Owner and Executive Producer at Microtone Studios, and guitarist and
producer for EARadiate, Kris stays busy in many audio disciplines.  He
is constantly dabbling with system design and acoustics when he's not
composing, building studio rooms or recording and engineering live
musicians.

A newcomer to Bloomington, Kris has already worked in several halls
throughout the IU campus, Brown County Music Center, and local recording
studios this year, and continues to expand his knowledge and passion for
all things audio.
