Jamie Anderson is a first year M.F.A. Directing candidate who is thrilled to return to IU after previously receiving her B.F.A. in Musical Theatre in 2012. Select IU (undergraduate) credits: Cabaret (Sally Bowles), Hair (Mom/Hubert), A Little Night Music (Charlotte). Jamie has been living in NYC for the last seven years with her partner and fellow IU Theatre alum/Bloomington native, Taylor Crousore and their two goofy Puerto Rican rescue dogs, Indy and Emma. She has worked as an actor off-Broadway and regionally across the country as well as directed on a freelance basis. Jamie also maintained positions as James Lapine, Stephen Brackett, and Tom Ridgley's associate director. She then went on to work for Michael Cassara Casting for nearly three years where she served as casting director on many projects featured in/around NYC. Most recently she held a position as a junior talent agent at Harden Curtis Kirsten Riley Agency for two years where she was fortunate to represent many recent IU graduates. She aspires to someday serve as a producing artistic director and/or teach on the collegiate level in addition to continuing her directing career. Jamie is originally from Chesterfield, Missouri.
