About Jamie Anderson

Jamie Anderson is a third year M.F.A. Directing candidate who is thrilled to be “back home again in Indiana” after previously receiving her B.F.A. in Musical Theatre here in 2012. Select IU credits: BONNETS: How Ladies of Good Breeding Are Induced to Murder (Director), Annalise Cain's DUMB BITCH JUICE (Director), Hamlet (Assistant Director), Christin Eve Cato’s jelly beans (Assistant Director), Do You Feel Anger? (Director), A New Brain (Director), Cabaret (Sally Bowles), A Little Night Music (Charlotte). Between her time in undergrad and returning to Bloomington for grad school, Jamie lived in NYC for seven years with her two goofy rescue dogs from the streets of PR, Indy and Emma. She has worked as an actor off-Broadway and regionally across the country as well as self-produced her own directing projects, and held positions as James Lapine, Stephen Brackett, Jaki Bradley, and Tom Ridgley's assoc./asst. director. Additionally, Jamie worked for Michael Cassara Casting for nearly three years where she served as casting director on many projects featured in/around NYC and taught “the business of the business” at universities and training programs across the country. Most recently she held a position as a junior talent agent at Harden Curtis Kirsten Riley Agency for two years where she negotiated contracts from recurring roles on network television series to Broadway National tours on behalf of the clients she represented, some being fellow IU alum. Jamie was scheduled to serve as Line Producer at Barrington Stage Company in Summer 2020, but the pandemic unfortunately had other plans. She aspires to someday serve as a producing artistic director and/or teach acting on the collegiate level in addition to continuing to develop her directing career.
