Olivia Gennaro is a senior studying English Secondary Education with a minor in creative writing. A lifelong choir singer and theatre-goer, Olivia has become involved in making theatre at IU. For University Players: Next to Normal (Dramaturg), Where the Statue Points (Dramaturg), Traissic Parq (Props), and 10 out of 12 (Props). Olivia is from Evansville, IN. In Spring 2020, she will be student teaching in Evansville and abroad in Wales through IU's Global Gateway program.

Olivia loves to write, particularly middle grade and young adult (YA) realistic fiction because of her commitment to her (future) students. She runs a blog, Books and Big Ideas, which focuses on middle grade, YA books, and pop culture from an educator and writer's perspective. She is also co-host of the podcast Culture Popped Open.
