About Amanda Hoover

Amanda Hoover is from Fishers, Indiana and is currently a senior at Indiana University. She is pursuing dual degrees in Contemporary Dance and Cinema and Media Productions. She began dancing when she was three years old and has studied under multiple dance studios and companies growing up.

Amanda has danced works from renowned choreographers such as Bill T. Jones, Kyle Abraham and José Limón. She has been choreographing for the past three years for shows premiering through the Contemporary Dance Program including the most recent Junior Showcase, From Here On, Dance is for A Future Time, and University Players’ SLIP. During her time at Indiana University, Amanda has performed in the faculty shows Leading Edges, From Roots to Wings, and the 2018 Winter Dance Concert: Bodies of Light. She has also performed in the 2015 and 2017 senior showcases, New Moves and past two junior showcases. She has hopes of moving to LA after graduation to further pursue her dance and videography training.
