Leo Messier is an aspiring guitarist from Bloomington, Indiana. They were admitted to the Jacobs School of Music at IU in 2023 to pursue a Jazz Studies undergraduate degree, but are currently taking time off from school to pursue other interests. Recently, they played in IU’s 2024 production of Head Over Heels (guitar). They have also recorded with a selection of local artists, including their band Mycota, who are making a name for themselves in the Bloomington scene, as well as playing shows all around the Midwest. They hope to be able to make a living off of playing guitar, whether that be through gigging with their band, recording as a session musician, playing in musicals, or teaching. Some of their other interests include: building and modifying their guitars, and gaming, with some of their favorite games being Cyberpunk 2077, Trackmania, and Geometry Dash.
