Department of Theatre, Drama, and Contemporary Dance

Maddie Musgraves is a senior Dance major from Grand Rapids, MI. She has been involved in the IU Contemporary Dance shows Journeys of Joy (2022), New Moves (2022), Earthward (2021), From The Ground Up (2021) Sounding Bodies (2020), and Bodies in Bold (2019). Most recently, she has traveled to Italy, New York, and Chicago to further her training in dance through various intensives and workshops. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in dance through teaching, choreographing, and performing. Maddie’s senior capstone project in the New Moves/New Directions concert will be her third piece choreographed during her time here at IU, along with U & Me (2022, with Rae Wilcoxson) and To Depletion’s End (2021). She has also involved herself in dance beyond the department by acting as the Event Coordinator for the student-led organization, Movement Cooperative, as well as by participating in the annual SLIP dance concert hosted by the University Players (2022, 2020).
