About Olivia Sarvello

Olivia Sarvello is a current senior at Indiana University who is expected to graduate in May 2023 with a B.F.A. in Dance and a minor in Business. Olivia has studied with various professors such as Elizabeth Shea, Beatrice Capote, Stafford Berry, Selene Carter, Lalah Hazelwood, Robert Burden, Justin Sears Watson, Christian Claessens, Iris Rosa, and Kate Lyons. She has performed in numerous faculty and student dance concerts. More specifically, she has performed in Elizabeth Shea’s Leave Only Footprints, Baba Stafford’s allies and activists, Evelyn Wang’s Minor Feelings, Cameron McKinney’s Beclouded, Beatrice Capote’s Ori, and Elizabeth Shea’s Counterpole. Throughout her dance education she has trained in Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, House and African Diasporic dance forms. Olivia earned her certification in mat Pilates while also taking numerous Yoga and somatic classes. She premiered her choreographic work, Unspoken Relativity, in the 2021 junior dance concert. In 2021, Olivia also interned at Eisenhower Dance Detroit and trained with company members. Olivia is an artist who is interested in expanding her dance education and knowledge through embodied research.
