About Kelsey Smock

Kelsey Smock is originally from Franklin, IN where she trained at her local studio, Style Dance Academy. Currently, she is training at Indiana University where she will graduate with her B.F.A. in Contemporary Dance in the spring of 2020. In her time at Indiana University, Kelsey has performed in various pieces such as Bill T. Jones’ Dman in the Water, Ego by Juel D. Lane, Nachthexen and Hot Dust by Elizabeth Shea, and A Shadow Passes by Stephanie Nugent. She has diversified her training by studying Gaga at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance with Ohad Naharin, Noa Tzuk, and several other Israeli artists. She also participates and choreographs within student-run organizations such as University Players, the Movement Cooperative and InMotion Dance Company. In addition to her performance experience, Kelsey’s choreography has been showcased at dance festivals and competitions around the country.
