Bridget Sundin received her B.F.A in Theatre Performance from Illinois Wesleyan University, her M.A. in Teaching from National-Louis University, and her M.A. in Theatre from San Diego State University. She completed a Ph.D. minor in Gender Studies and has shared her scholarly writing widely at academic conferences. Her research interests include the actor's laboring body in performance, queer theory/queer futurity, feminist theory, and phenomenology. Bridget's dissertation project uses those theories to examine Marlene Dietrich and Josephine Baker's cabaret performances - both on stage and on film. At IU Bridget has served as production dramaturg for Macbeth, Duchess of Malfi, and Prospect Hill.
