About Elaina Welch

Elaina began her dance training in Indianapolis at Expressenz Dance Center under the direction of Karla Curatolo. Following graduation Elaina continued her dance education at Indiana University's Contemporary Dance Program where she is currently completing her BFA in dance. Here she has had the opportunity to be a part of several reworked iconic pieces such as, Psalm choreographed by José Limón and Germe choreographed by Stephanie Batten Bland.

In addition to studying classical ballet and modern technique Elaina has also had extensive training in jazz, theatre and street styles. Elaina attended Broadway Dance Center's Professional Semester in New York City where she studied theatre, voice, acting and ultimately directed her focus to jazz technique and commercial dance. Following the program, Elaina has performed on the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre stage as well as MTV's TRL television show.
