Trish has been the House Manager at IU since 2005, and teaches Special Topics in Stage Management. That course focuses on a three-year cycle of Theme Park, Cruise Ship, and Las Vegas Entertainment Management. Most of Trish’s previous work before coming to IU has been as a stage manager for new works, including the world premiere of Chen Shi-Zheng’s retelling of a classic Chinese opera, The Peach Blossom Fan, produced at the REDCAT in Los Angeles. Also at the REDCAT, Trish was the production manager for Invisible Glass, a multimedia puppetry piece directed by Janie Gaiser, written by Erik Ehn, and based on a short story by Edgar Allen Poe. As a stage manager, she spent two summers in the mountains of Utah at the Sundance Theatre Lab, Robert Redford’s playwrights’ paradise. There, Trish was the workshop stage manager for Stew’s Passing Strange, which won the 2008 New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Musical, 3 Obie Awards, and was nominated for 7 Tony Awards. She has also been a stage manager at the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival in Louisville, Hope Summer Repertory Theatre in Holland, Michigan and the Edgemar Theatre in Santa Monica, California. She is no stranger to house managing, having spent four years as a house manager at Miller Auditorium, the third largest auditorium in Michigan.
Trish has been the stage manager for the IU Premiere Musicals Solana, Island Song, Moses Man, The King's Critique, Joe Schmoe Saves the World, and Stardust Road.
