Apply to be an usher at the Norvelle Theatre and Drama Center or IU Summer Theatre, and enjoy the chance to see free shows. Anyone can usher for our productions.
Ushers are the first people most of our audience members meet face-to-face, and we strive to provide the best possible service. We want ushers to have a good time—meeting the audience with an engaging smile and great spirits, and contributing to the enjoyment of live theatre. The duties of an usher include handing out programs, taking tickets, and helping people find their seats.
Ushers do not need to be students, or even have an IU connection. Anyone over the age of 16 is welcome to be an usher. Those who are younger than 16 may be accepted if ushering with an adult. Contact our House Manager for more information.
Note that the information for ushering for the IU Summer Theatre (IUST) is slightly different.
