Magdalynn Derloshon is a multidisciplinary artist and mover currently based in the Indianapolis area. Ms. Derloshon is a current senior at Indiana University pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance. During her time at Indiana University, she has performed works by many faculty and guest artists, including Jojo Smith (staged by Sue Samuels), Beatrice Capote, Iris Rosa, Elizabeth Shea, and Baba Stafford Berry Jr. In December 2024, she performed the principal role in Christian Classens’ work "Three Steps Forward, Two Back". Last fall she debuted her choreography at Indiana University’s annual junior choreographic performance project with her original work titled: ‘Continuum’. Each year at Indiana University, Ms. Derloshon has performed and collaborated on student-led choreographic projects featured in senior capstone performances and advanced choreographic studies performances. Outside of Indiana University, she has performed works by fellow Indiana University alumni, such as Kathryn Robinson at the Indy Dance Festival 2024 and Rachel Stratton at RAD Fest 2026. In summer 2025, she studied at the 14th annual Dance Italia, under the teachings of Brian McGinnis, Yue Yin, Stefanie Nelson, Cristina Planas Leitão, and Emma-Lynn Mackay-Ronacher. Magdalynn Derloshon hopes to continue her movement studies, expand her horizons, and discover new ways to combine her passion of movement with her passion of fine arts.
