About Danielle Long

A transplant from southern Illinois, Danielle Long earned her Bachelors of Music in Voice Performance in Minnesota at Saint Olaf College. After graduating, Danielle moved to Minneapolis, where she performed with the Guthrie Theater, the Merrill Arts Center, Lakeshore Players Theater, Expressions Theater, the Gilbert and Sullivan Very Light Opera Company, and the Northern Starz Children’s Theatre. In 2020, she returned to Illinois and, with the help of digital conferencing, performed with the International InterHarmony Music Festival, the Opera Reading Project, and Orange Players Theatre, and gained proficiency in Italian by studying with the Università per stranieri di Perugia. In the summer of 2021, Danielle studied at the International Vocal Academy of the Arts in Payerbach, Austria, and the Lotte Lehmann Akademie in Perleberg, Germany. Danielle attends Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, where she has begun the first year of her Masters of Music degree in Voice Performance. In addition to her performances as Macduff and Duncan in the Indiana University Theatre Department’s production of Macbeth, in 2022 Danielle will be performing in the Jacobs School of Music Opera Department’s production of Highway 1, USA, in the Gilbert and Sullivan Society’s Trial By Jury, in New Voices Opera’s Rhiannon’s Condemnation, and in Cedar Rapids Opera’s The Pirates of Penzance. Danielle has had a wonderful time working with this talented cast of actors; she has learned much from this experience that she will take with her into all future performances. Danielle is deeply grateful to her family and friends for their support, and to director Grant Goodman for his expertise and guidance in putting together this production of Macbeth.
