About Lucy Morrison

Lucy Morrison is a dancer and choreographer from Evansville, IN. At Indiana University, she is receiving a B.F.A. in Contemporary Dance and a minor in Kinesiology. While attending IU, she had the opportunity to perform in faculty works by her professors Liz Shea, Beatrice Capote, Selene Carter, and Robert F. Burden Jr. as well as guest artist works by Camille A. Brown, Daeun Jung, and Justin Sears. She has been a choreographer in JCPP (2023) and SLIP (2024) as well as a dancer in over 10 student-choreographed productions. Lucy trains in a variety of dance styles including Modern, Jazz, Afro-Cuban, Horton, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Tap, Contemporary, and others. She received a National Society of Arts and Letters Contemporary Dance Merit Award in 2023. Lucy has attended intensive programs at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, SALT Contemporary Dance, Dance Italia, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, and Alonzo King LINES Ballet where she had the opportunity to work with numerous esteemed artists, be involved in the creation of new works, and learn repertoire from the companies.
