About Shane Stoltz

Shane Stoltz is a sophomore B.F.A. Musical Theatre major from Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He fell in love with movie musicals at a young age, started performing in theatre through his synagogue in second grade, and has been passionate about pursuing it as a career ever since. The Threepenny Opera is his first mainstage production at IU, which he is thrilled to be a part of. Most recently, he performed in University Players’ productions of Footloose (Willard) and Bright Star (Ensemble/Jimmy Ray Understudy). Some favorite past productions include Mary Poppins (Bert), Footloose (Ren), Urinetown (Old Man Strong), Shrek (Pinocchio), Beauty and the Beast (LeFou), Freaky Friday (Adam), and Sweet Charity (Ensemble). One of his proudest achievements is performing at the White House with his high school’s select choir. Some career/educational goals include writing and composing original works, and directing.
