How to apply for the Summer Dance Intensive

Applications for the 2018 Summer Dance Intensive are now open.

  1. You can complete the online registration and pay the application fee at the IU Conferences site.
  2. Submit application materials.
    1. Letter of recommendation: from a dance teacher, rehearsal director, or coach attesting to dance experience and technical level. Letters must be emailed to hsiudanc@indiana.edu.
    2. Work sample: A 30 second clip of applicant demonstrating his/her dance technique and performance skills. Solo videos in a studio are best. However, if you have a good quality video of your dancing in performance, please make sure to also include the name of the choreographer and clearly indicate which dancer is to be considered (if it is a group performance). All videos must be submitted electronically by emailing a link to the video on YouTube, Vimeo, etc. Include the dancer's full name and the confirmation code from your IU Conferences registration.
