About Nicholas Gwin

A new M.F.A. lighting design candidate, Nicholas hails from the peach state where he received his degree in theater at Columbus State University. There, he focused on lighting design and designed A Midsummer Night's Dream and oversaw the lighting activities for the anual one act festivals. While in school, he worked in and around the Atlanta area at various theater where he designed and music directed. His favorites jobs have been The Secret Garden, Oliver!, and James and the Giant Peach. In his career, He has developed a passion for arts education and TYA and hopes to incorporate what he learns at IU into his career in the arts. He is thankful to be a part of this program and hopes to leave a lasting mark.
